Greetings, Maria!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your great question. I'm so excited for you to visit the Disneyland Resort on May the 4th or "Star Wars Day." This is such a fun time to celebrate all things Star Wars whether Light Side, Dark Side, Resistance, or First Order.
While we still haven't heard any details about events happening at the Disneyland Resort for this special day yet, keep your eyes on the
Disney Parks Blog in the next week for announcements. In the past there have been some fun experiences and merchandise available in Tomorrowland of Disneyland Park on this day. Last year Hyperspace Mountain made its return for Star Wars Day transforming the popular
Space Mountain attraction into an intergalactic battle featuring famous Star Wars spacecraft as well as iconic music. Merchandise like t-shirts, hats, and travel mugs featuring "May the 4th be with You" were sold at The Star Trader in Tomorrowland.
Even without these special experiences there are still so many ways to celebrate Star Wars at the Disneyland Resort. I suggest "Disneybounding" as your favorite Star Wars Character as a fun way to show your spirit. If you aren't familiar with this trend, it means dressing up in normal clothes that channel Characters using their famous color schemes or accessories. A simple black vest, white shirt, and navy pants and voila! - you are Han Solo! Don't forget to also stop by the Star Wars Launch Bay for Character meets and Star Wars memorabilia.
I hope your trip is out of this world, and May the Fourth be with You!
