Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Heather! I had such fun bouncing between coasts last year to Disneyland Resort and back to Walt Disney World Resort. I got a good schooling in what discounts I was able to use and when!
Sadly, it may depend on what kind of annual pass you have. My Walt Disney World Platinum Plus Pass was only good in Florida, though I was able to use it on some merchandise at the D23 convention inside the Anaheim convention center. Whenever I was in the parks, it was a no-go. If you have a Disneyland Resort only
Annual Pass, there will be no discounts available for you in Florida. However, please take note of your trip dates and lengths, because you may be interested in upgrading your DLR Annual Pass to a Disney Parks Premier Passport if you are in Florida for long enough. The money you’ve spend on your AP will count towards the new pass, I believe.
The
Disney Parks Premier Passport will grant you the 364 days access to both Disneyland Resort and the entirety of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, including ESPN and waterparks. You’ll have full PhotoPass access and downloads, theme park parking, 20% off most merchandise locations, and various discounts up to 20% off with dining on both coasts. Add in any tour discounts and you’re looking at one sweet deal! If you think this might be for you, the Disney Premier Passport can be purchased for $1,439 plus tax. Check with a Cast Member at any ticket booth at either park for more information or to purchase a pass. I hope you have a fabulous trip, and we’ll see ya real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
