Hi Justine!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to hEAR that you're planning for your very first Disney Cruise Line adventure! My first Disney Cruise set sail from California, too! We visited Disneyland Resort prior to our high-seas voyage. I have a feeling you'll fall in love with cruising and that this will be the first of many adventures with Captain Mickey at the helm.
You asked a wonderful question! In my opinion, since your
Port Arrival Time is scheduled for 1:30 PM, I would take the train that arrives at 1:00 PM rather than the one that gets you to the Cruise Terminal two hours prior. If Guests arrive too far in advance of their Port Arrival Time, Disney Cruise Line may request that they wait to enter the Cruise Terminal until their designated Port Arrival Time.
My family loves to start our Disney Cruises with a delicious lunch buffet at
Cabanas! Before you know it, you'll be dancing on deck during the
Sail-Away Celebration with Captain Mickey and his friends as the ship gets ready to set sail! If you haven't done so already, take a peek at the
Packing List for Disney Cruises. This is a great list to reference as you begin packing your treasure chests!
If you have any other questions before your inaugural voyage, please come back and visit us again! We're here to help make the planning process smooth sailing!
