Hi Karen,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! When you enter Disneyland, you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy. That includes your payment options as well!
The Disneyland Resort is keeping up with the times and does accept cashless payments. You can use your preferred mobile pay option—Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Google Wallet—to pay for items in stores, meals at restaurants, and even snacks at the carts. I’ve even uploaded my Disney Gift Cards to my mobile wallet and have been able to scan them at locations where gift cards are accepted. This is a great middle ground if you’re trying to stick to a budget!
I’m also happy to report that many, if not all, stores, restaurants, and carts throughout the Disneyland Resort still accept cash. You’ll also find
ATMs located inside Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, and each of the resort hotels, in case you’d like to tap into your reserves.
As you continue planning your trip, Karen, I recommend checking out the
2025 Events Calendar to see what special happenings are taking place at the Disneyland Resort during your visit. Even if you're planning a 2026 vacation, this can serve as a helpful guide. We recently received
some exciting news! Some of the Disneyland
70th Anniversary entertainment and decor will continue through
Halloween Time! So far, we know that the full 70th Anniversary celebration will resume after the holiday season wraps up (sometime after January 7, 2026) and continue through summer 2026.
Karen, I hope this information is helpful! If you have any other questions or need help planning other aspects of your trip, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share more tips and ideas.
Happy planning!
