Hi there, Gloria! Welcome back to planDisney.
I am happy to confirm that yes,
Walt Disney World Bus Service certainly does accommodate scooters. I have traveled to Walt Disney World Resort a couple of times with friends using ECVs, and it's been easy for them to board the bus using the ramp activated by the bus driver and then park in the designated scooter bay area. With the help of the friendly Cast Member driving the bus, it all happens smoothly and easily!
Gloria, a few tips will help make using Disney buses with your ECV a little easier. You may encounter others using scooters waiting at your bus stop; most buses can board two scooters at a time, so pack your patience, as you may need to wait for the next bus if others are waiting ahead of you. At many bus stops, you'll see a handicapped waiting area (it looks like a box painted on the ground) - this positions you in the right spot for boarding and make it easier for the driver to spot you as you approach. If you don't see that space, don't worry. Once the bus is parked, pull up to the back doors and the driver will assist you. Finally, please know that members of your party (usually no more than 5) should be allowed to board with you using the back doors.
Since you'll be using your scooter during your Disney vacation, I want to be sure you've seen the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. This webpage is full of helpful information, including a list of which attractions require you to transfer from your ECV.
Gloria, thanks for stopping by with your question. I hope you have safe travels around the Walt Disney World Resort, and that you enjoy every minute of your vacation! Please come back and see us if you think of any further questions as you plan and dream.
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
