For Disney World: When are fast passes going to be available? Is there a child swap plan still since I will be with our 2 year old? Are there indoor things to stay out of the sun with the 2 year old?

Hi there, Paul! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Walt Disney World Resort is reopening and happily inviting Guests back to experience all the magic they know and love! With the phased reopening, there have been some changes to be aware of during your future visits. Some of these include enhanced cleaning procedures across the property, temporary adjustments to promote physical distancing, modified experiences to reduce contact, and more.

During the initial stages of reopening, the FastPass+ service has been suspended. This means that this service will not be offered with the purchase of any tickets or annual passes at this time. Currently, there has not been an official update regarding the return of the FastPass+ service. I highly recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any updates regarding the reopening of Walt Disney World Resort in the meantime!

I am happy to let you know that Rider Switch is available for Guests that need to take turns waiting with children! All you will need to do is check with a Cast Member to see if Rider Switch is available at the attraction you would like to experience and let them know that you would like to use this service. Then, the first party members will be free to experience the attraction before switching out with the second party members.

If you need to cool down during your visit, there are many different indoor attractions that are perfect! These range from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at the Magic Kingdom to The Land Pavilion at Epcot. Another pro-tip for cooling down during the hottest part of the day is to schedule advanced dining reservations! This gives you a chance to relax and enjoy a delicious meal at the same time!

Best of luck as you continue to plan your trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as well!
