Hi, Joanna! Welcome to planDisney!
Your Walt Disney World Resort countdown is at T-minus six days! Almost go for liftoff! Before you launch your plans, let's chat about what you can expect when you arrive at the theme parks for your vacation.
As you know, when the Walt Disney World Resort reopened last year, capacity limits and a
theme park reservation system were implemented as a way to help manage the number of Guests in the parks at any given time. While capacity has appeared to fluctuate throughout the past year, the actual percentage hasn't been shared with us. I can tell you that there are a variety of mitigation efforts still in effect, such as requiring Guests over age 2 to
wear face coverings at all indoor locations around the theme parks, Resort hotels, and aboard Disney transportation. If you'd like more information on safety measures in place, be sure to take a look at the
Know Before You Go page on the Walt Disney World website.
I know how important it is that you feel comfortable taking your family to the Walt Disney World Resort, Joanna, so if you have specific questions, I encourage you to
reach out to Guest Relations and speak to a Cast Member about any concerns you may have. I know they'll do all they can to help you rest assured that your safety is a top priority.
I hope this helps you relax and enjoy your vacation, Joanna. I'm sure it will be a blast!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
