Hi! We are going to Disney World for our 5 year anniversary! No kids yet so we want to be kids ourselves! Obviously we want to take advantage of all the parks/resorts has to offer but we want to know what we would enjoy most as adults as well! Advice?

    Hi Joshua,

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! Walt Disney World is a great place to celebrate. I am so glad that you want to experience Walt Disney World for all that it has to offer. Let me give you some thoughts on activities that you may enjoy as adults.

First, Walt Disney World is full of amazing dining experiences. Some of these are fabulous to enjoy as an adult couple. Many of the signature dining options at Walt Disney World offer great places for a relaxing adult dinner. One of my favorites is Jiko - The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This restaurant offers delicious fare focused on Africa, India and the Mediterranean, and offers an amazing South African wine list.

When my husband and I visited Walt Disney World without our daughter, we found that we enjoyed being in the theme parks, but with a different focus. One of our favorite afternoons was spent wandering World Showcase at Epcot, sampling food and wine from the different country pavilions and stopping to listen and watch the wonderful entertainment found there.

Certainly check out the areas focused on entertainment, nightlife and shopping. Disney Springs has been newly re-imagined and includes many fabulous new shopping opportunities as well as fantastic and varied dining options. A couple of my favorites at Disney Springs are The Boathouse and Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar. Do not overlook Disney's BoardWalk area, where you can have a great dinner and then head to Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar.

There are so many more options for adults at Walt Disney World Joshua; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
