While we are in Disney World, my wife and I would like one dinner that will appeal more to us than to our young children. Which restaurant would you recommend for a high quality meal that the adults will enjoy (and the kids too, but mainly the adults)?

    Hello, Thomas,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  For my family, dining is an attraction while at Walt Disney World. There are so many wonderful dining experiences at Walt Disney World it can be overwhelming, so I'd like to share a few of my favorite restaurants.  One of our best-loved choices is California Grill, which is on the top floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The menu is inspired by the Pacific Coast, and the sushi is amazing.  It is known for its Sonoma goat cheese ravioli, but there are many other delicious items on the menu. What makes this restaurant even more special is the panoramic views of all of Walt Disney World from the observation decks.  You can also watch the fireworks from the restaurant, and it is such a treat to see them from there.  Even better, if you dine earlier in the evening, you can return later for the fireworks (just keep your receipt)!

I'd also like to recommend Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood on top of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It, too, has beautiful views, and it celebrates the flavors of Spain. With the small bites offered on the menu, you can sample many different things.  I am already daydreaming about returning there for the Valdeon Blue Cheese with fig and honeycomb!  The restaurant also has a stunning feature with a curved ceiling that changes color throughout the evening.

Jiko - The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge features delicious African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine.  For my family, the oak-grilled filet mignon with a 4 cheese macaroni and cheese continues to be one of our favorites. We enjoy visiting here because we can explore the richness of the resort while having a chance to look out at the animals on the savannas.  Similarly, we really like Sanaa, which is also at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, but at the Kidani Village side. It is more casual, so we like to visit it for lunch during a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  For us, it is all about the Indian-style bread service: five breads with nine accompaniments.  It is so delicious!  Since it is located on the ground-level, guests can often see many of the animals nearby.

I hope this helps to give you some ideas. If you'd like some other suggestions for restaurants at the theme parks or Disney Springs, please send us another question.  We are happy to share more ideas!

    Happy Disney Dining!  -Kara
