Disney World vacation planning - activities, fast pass, hopper, dinning.

    Hi Sharon,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! If I understand correctly, you’re looking for some help with designing your family’s first visit to Walt Disney World Resort. The first thing to consider is the “base”, that is, where you’d like to stay. I strongly recommend staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel during your first visit. My favourite Resort hotel is definitely Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, but I’m also a big fan of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.

You'll also need to consider how many days you’d like to play in the Theme Parks. There’s an excellent Canadian Resident Special Ticket Offer available until the end of the month, for visits until late September 2019. I don’t typically recommend that first time visitors purchase the Park Hopper add-on. Even a "regular” ticket allows you to come and go from a single Theme Park throughout the day.

Next, you can start making your Disney dining reservations up to 180 days before your arrival. Depending on your family’s dining preferences, a Disney Dining Plan might be a great idea for you, too.

The last thing to pick would be your family’s FastPass+ selections, which you can choose up to 60 days before your arrival if you’re staying in a Disney hotel. Please come back and visit us and provide us with a bit more details about your family’s likes and dislikes and we’ll be happy to provide you with even more tips!

    Have a Magical Day,
