Hi Lauren!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm excited to see that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is
Just Around the Riverbend! These final few weeks are the perfect time to get all of those last-minute Donald Ducks in a row such as finalizing your advanced dining reservations and planning your park days. Don't forget to also check out the new
Lightning Lane passes which can be purchased up to one week before your arrival if you're staying at a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection!
Lauren, I'm sorry to hear that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is serving up
TRICKS rather than
TREATS when it comes to your dining reservation. Unfortunately, on days that Magic Kingdom Park closes early for this special-ticketed event, your dining reservations must begin before that park closing time. While I know this isn't the news you were hoping to hear, I'm happy to offer a few suggestions so that you can still enjoy an incredible dinner and memorable evening.
Tony's Town Square Restaurant is known for delicious Italian food with a sweet nod to the classic Disney film, Lady and the Tramp. If your heart is set on dining here, I'd encourage you to continue
checking advanced dining reservations during these final weeks before your vacation. Plans often change for Guests, and I've been fortunate to find some of my "must-have" reservations that weren't available weeks before my trip open just days before we leave. When looking at advanced dining reservation availability, it's important to note that your reservation has to begin before the park closes, but you can stay to finish your meal after the 6:00 PM closing time if needed. If you can't find an advanced dining reservation, you can always check
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability on the day of your visit.
Another suggestion I'd like to offer is to leave Magic Kingdom Park at 6:00 PM and spend the evening enjoying a "Monorail Crawl" around the three neighboring resorts. As a sample itinerary, you could hop on the
Resort Monorail and take a short ride to Disney's Contemporary Resort for a delicious
dinner. Once finished eating and exploring the resort, let the Monorail whisk you over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, where you can enjoy a sweet treat at
Pineapple Lanai followed by a visit to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to watch
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular from the beach. If you have some extra time before the fireworks begin, I'd suggest stopping by
Enchanted Rose - a beautiful lounge inspired by Beauty and the Beast located on the second floor of the main building.
Lauren, I hope this helps you with some ideas as you modify your plans at Magic Kingdom Park and that you enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please stop by to see us again here at planDisney if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Kristi
