It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julie!
It's so exciting that your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is coming up in just two weeks! Now is a great time to nail down some of those final details, like the best place for your family to stand to enjoy the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and the
Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party, so let's chat about a few of my favorite spots and how to secure a place with enough space for all of you.
When you're at
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll notice guests trying to stake out a spot on Main Street U.S.A. up to several hours before the Parade is set to begin. That's why I don't really bother with trying to get a place to stand there, especially with a larger group like the one you'll be traveling with. My favorite place to watch the show is in Liberty Square in front of
The Hall of Presidents, or across the street from that out in front of
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. I love that spot because I can usually walk up around 30 to 45 minutes before and there's still plenty of space. The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade has a long route that goes through Frontierland, Liberty Square, around in front of
Cinderella Castle and down Main Street U.S.A., so there are plenty of spots to try and there really isn't a bad seat in the house! It usually begins at 2 p.m. each day but timings are subject to change so be sure to check the
My Disney Experience app or the Times Guide when you arrive at Magic Kingdom Park.
The Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party is a bit of a different story because it happens a few times a day and has a shorter route that goes up Main Street U.S.A., around the Hub area in front of Cinderella Castle, and then back down Main Street U.S.A. again. You can catch a great view of the Street Party anywhere along the route, but all of the dancing action happens when the parade makes the circle around the Hub, so that's my favorite area to watch from.
Have a magical day, Julie!
