    We are going to Disney World in two weeks..2 adults and one 3 year old. We are doing the one quick, one table-service dining plan. What restaurants do you suggest for this age? Transportation: how do you get from point A to point B?

    Hi Beth,

    Three years old is a really fun age to have at Walt Disney World! My husband and I took our daughter to Walt Disney World at that age. We have found that nearly every restaurant is appropriate for a young child at Walt Disney World. That said, we did avoid the Signature Restaurants when she was so very young as we would likely not have enjoyed a meal which took a long time in a more elegant setting.

    If you are looking for a character experience, I suggest the Disney Junior Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios. My daughter really enjoyed meeting her favorite characters from Disney Junior at this fun buffet. This character dining experience does require two table service credits per person. For one table service credit, we rather enjoy The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom, which serves great sandwiches and salads. If you are interested in eating at a resort, try Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. It is an old-fashioned soda shop.

    For quick-service meals, there are child-friendly menu options at nearly all of the locations. I really enjoy Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion at Epcot. There are great, fresh options for everyone, and after your meal you and your family can enjoy a boat ride on the Living with the Land attraction. If you're looking for somewhere outside of a theme park, try the Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort. From your table on the fourth floor, your child will enjoy seeing the monorail go by as you eat.

    As for transportation, that's going to depend on where exactly you are trying to get from and to. If you are staying on Walt Disney World property, there will be Disney transportation including buses, boats, and monorails that can get you from your resort to almost anywhere on property. I am limited in how much space I have to answer, but please do feel free to ask if you would like more specifics on transportation.
