Are Disney World ticket prices discounted if you're staying at a Disney resort? I want to book my hotel but not ready to book tickets budget-wise, but I'm wondering if I'll be missing out on savings by not booking them together.

Hey there Stephanie and welcome to planDisney.

A trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is of a value that can't be measured in money. That being said, we princesses on a budget gotta stick together. But don't stress, my friend, I've got you covered! You can actually still book a vacation package and take advantage of the Special Offers, Deals, & Discounts offered by the Walt Disney World Resort. Just book your vacation with a payment plan! Yes, that's right I said a payment plan.

Step 1: Make a My Disney Experience account. Follow the prompts to enter your information and you're on the way to having the most organized vacation ever.

Step 2: Book your trip. You can use the Build Your Vacation tool on the Walt Disney World Resort homepage to choose the number of travelers in your party, your arrival and departure dates, tickets, etc. Once you've crafted the vacation of your dreams, you can choose to either pay in full or make a deposit. Choose that deposit, Stephanie. And then you can hit that Make Payment button under My Plans in My Disney Experience when your coins are in order. Just be sure to pay that balance off 30 days before your arrival date. Don't worry, My Disney Experience will show you the exact date.

Stephanie, may both of our bank accounts match Scrooge McDuck's. Until that day, we can still make our budgets work for us at the Walt Disney World Resort!

    Happy planning!
