For our Disney World stay in April, we are spending 3 nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and changing to the Beach Club for 3 nights. Any advice on how to make this change as smoothly as possible? Will the hotels transfer our luggage for us?

    Hi Linda!

Hakuna Matata - no worries, Linda! One of the benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is that they're happy to help transfer your luggage to another Disney resort hotel if you change resorts during your vacation.

The day before you check out of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, let the folks at the front desk know you'll be moving to Disney's Beach Club Resort. They'll direct you to Bell Services where you'll be instructed how to transfer your luggage to the new resort. On the day of your move, Bell Services will transfer your bags for you, and you're free to go explore the theme parks - no need to worry about your luggage! Bell Services usually makes the transfers in mid-afternoon, so your bags should be at your new hotel by check-in time at 3pm (or sooner).

You'll be given a luggage claim ticket from Bell Services that you'll need to present upon checking in at the second location. Bell Services will bring your bags to your room for you once you've been assigned a room number - it's a very seamless process. Disney makes it easy to do a "split-stay", where guests can enjoy all there is to see and do at two Walt Disney World Resort hotels during one vacation!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel - please let us know if you have any further questions before your visit in April. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
