Hello and welcome to planDisney, Marcia. I am so glad that you are interested in the
Walt Disney World Annual Pass Program. I've been an annual passholder for years now and I absolutely love it.
Marcia, we still haven't received word when the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program will open back up for Guests to purchase a new pass. I can't imagine it will be too much longer with most of the restrictions being lifted. It really does feel like things are starting to get back to normal at Walt Disney World. I do know the program isn't going anywhere. Guests that are current annual passholders, like myself, are able to renew for the next year at this time. So that's a great sign. I've been keeping an eye out over on the Disney Parks Blog for an announcement regarding the program. When one is made, that's where we will be able to find all of the information.
Until the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program returns, Marcia, you have
two options for tickets. You can purchase a standard theme park ticket that allows entry into one park per day. The other option would be to upgrade your ticket to include the park hopper option. Park hopping is where you can visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. Both tickets have their advantages but I am partial to park hopping. It's my favorite way to spend a Disney day! Whatever park ticket you choose, remember that you also need to make
park pass reservations to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. A park pass reservation is basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd like to visit each day. You can make park pass reservations after you link your theme park tickets to your MyDisneyExperience account. Before you purchase tickets, I highly encourage you to take a look at the
availability calendar first to make sure there are parks available on the days you'd like to visit.
I'm sorry I don't have more information for you at this time, Marcia. I have my fingers crossed that you'll be able to join the Walt Disney World annual passholder family very soon. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Have a great day!
