Does Disney World have shuttles from Orlando airport to the hotels?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Heather!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! From the moment you step into the MAGIC, it’s all "ears", all smiles, and all unforgettable memories. Whether it’s your first trip or your fiftieth, there is always something new to discover around every pixie-dusted corner.

What a great question! So, buckle up, and let’s drive into this with a bit of pixie dust! So, here’s the scoop: Disney World used to have a bus service called Disney’s Magical Express, which offered free transportation from Orlando International Airport to the Disney Resorts. However, that enchanting option officially ended on January 1, 2022. As of now, Disney doesn’t offer complimentary airport shuttles to or from the resorts. But don’t hang up your Mickey ears just yet—there are still some great ways to get to the MAGIC!

One of the most popular alternatives is Mears Connect, which basically picked up where Magical Express left off. It’s a paid shuttle service that runs 24/7 between the airport and the Disney Resort area. Prices are economical, so this is definitely a solid and convenient option. If you want more flexibility, ride-shares like Uber or Lyft are always on standby, or private car services can add a touch of luxury to your arrival.

Now, once you’re on Disney property, the transportation excitement really gets rolling. Resort guests can enjoy complimentary rides via Disney buses, Monorail, the Disney Skyliner (gondola system), water taxis, and parking lot trams. And if you want a little extra flair, you can summon a Minnie Van—a Disney-themed Lyft ride driven by Cast Members. So, while there’s no longer a free shuttle from the airport, getting around once you arrive is smooth sailing. With a bit of planning, your journey to the "Most Magical Place on Earth" will still start off on the right foot—or glass slipper!

As you continue to plan, make sure you check out the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information regarding all things Disney. Mickey and his pals have some fantastic things planned, and we don't want you to miss any of the fun!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
