Hi Olivia! When I am not answering planDisney questions, I am an elementary school principal in Pennsylvania! As the song goes, “it’s a small world.” Congratulations to your daughter on completing Kindergarten! That is one of life’s great milestones for kids (and parents, too)! I love that you want to celebrate your daughter’s big accomplishment by visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! Let’s get you some planning help! Feel free to use the embedded links in this answer to help with your planning.
Let’s start by saving you some money! Check the
Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. You’ll find the special offers are available by date range. See if any special offers fit within the time you want to visit!
Next, you’ll want to select a “Disney home.” There are hotels in the
deluxe,
moderate, and
value range. In the value range, I recommend Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. In the moderate range, I suggest Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – Gran Destino Tower, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Finally, in the deluxe range, you can’t go wrong with Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, or Disney’s Riviera Resort!
You’ll also want to consider which theme parks you want to visit. There are four – Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. I feel like Magic Kingdom would be a “must-do” for your Kindergarten grad! If your daughter has any Disney "favorites" let us know in another question. We can recommend other parks to visit based upon what she likes most about Disney!
Olivia, here’s the great part about planDisney! You can keep sending us questions as you plan! You can make your questions as specific as you want! We’ll get back to you with some answers! Also, check out the “first-timer” video included with this answer. My fellow planDisney panelist, Elaine, and I give tips for first-time visitors!
When it's time to book your vacation, you can book it right on the Walt Disney World Resort website! You can also call (407)-939-5277 to speak with a friendly Cast Member. If you choose to call, I recommend having some details such as dates and a hotel already selected. Having that information will expedite your phone call.
Dreams do come true!
