We have been to Disney World several times and have magic bands from previous trips. Our kids are traveling to Disney World for spring break and wondered if they could transfer the tickets they receive onto one of their magic bands?

Hello Amy, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Spring break is a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! I am happy to tell you that your kids can reuse previous MagicBands for their upcoming trip. The battery in a MagicBand is good for approximately two years.

They can check which MagicBands are active under the “MagicBands and Cards” tab in My Disney Experience. Any of the active MagicBands listed can be reused. To link theme park admission tickets to existing MagicBands, your kids will need to sign in to their My Disney Experience accounts, go to the “My Reservations and Tickets” tab and enter their ticket ID number to link their admission. Once they have successfully linked their tickets, they can begin to make FastPass+ selections 30 days from their arrival date. If you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
