i will be going to Disney World in September 19. They are changing the Fast Pass Tiers at Hollywood Studios. Can I schedule 1 fastpass and then once it is used try to get another in the Tier 1 category instead of having to schedule 2 for shows before I

Hello, Roger! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

While Walt Disney World Resort’s FastPass+ system is an excellent way to maximize your time in the Theme Parks, there are some limitations that need to be considered when booking them. First of all, Guests must book three FastPasses in a single Theme Park on a given day before being able to use more (at that same Park or another) on that day. Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Epcot use a “tiered” system for their FastPasses, allowing Guests to choose one “Tier 1” attraction and two from “Tier 2.” In order to book more than one Tier 1 attraction, you must have used all three FastPasses (or at least have allowed their redemption window to expire).

Please keep in mind that the reason attractions are placed in the Tier 1 category is because they tend to be the most popular attractions. While you can potentially book another Tier 1 attraction after using your three FastPass+ selections for the day, the chances of another one being available aren’t very good.

Did you know that Guests who stay at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel are eligible for Extra Magic Hours? And for a limited time this Fall, there will be extra, Extra Magic Hours available, too! Using the Extra Magic Hours benefit is an excellent way to have more opportunities to experience those attractions that typically have longer wait times during regular Theme Park operating hours. That’s just one of the many benefits of being an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest!

Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you, Roger; we hope to see you real soon.
