We are going to Disney World Sept.14-22 and staying at the Art of Animation Resort. My 6 year old son does not like fire works because of how loud they are. Is there any place we could see the fireworks from afar and not be in any crowd? And which nights?

    Hi Michelle!

I had the same problem with both of my children when they were younger!

I suggest watching the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian Resort or from the California Grill on top of the Contemporary Resort.  The fireworks are basically shown almost every night in the Magic Kingdom, weather permitting.

The beach at the Polynesian is directly across Seven Seas Lagoon from the Magic Kingdom.  The fireworks can be seen there and the music is usually piped in.  That worked for my son, though you can still hear them!

The California Grill is closer to the Magic Kingdom, but you can view the fireworks from behind glass!  If you want to go this route, make dinner reservations for about 60 to 90 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled for the night you want to visit.  Then just linger over dinner.  Since you have a young child, plan closer to 60 minutes or bring something to entertain him or her while you wait for the fireworks.

You can also do a fireworks cruise, but I think the noise there is higher than at the Polynesian or the Contemporary.  I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
