Star Wars Weekends for select dates at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Once Disney had the technology to transport Guests off-world to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,
those weekends became legend.
Walt Disney World Resort rarely does special event overlays because it is an international destination and Guests visiting want to experience the original attraction. Disneyland Resort, which mostly caters to Southern Californians, creates seasonal and special event experiences to entice local Guests to visit more. The closest Walt Disney World Resort has to an overly are the rotating EPCOT International Festivals and seasonal decorations. So, sadly, we will not see a
Season of the Force or an overlay like the
Haunted Mansion Holiday during Halloween on the east side of Disney.
