Hi Wayne,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love that you are planning a three-generation Walt Disney World vacation. What a wonderful way to make lasting memories for everyone!
Several resorts offer options to house your entire party in a single accommodation. Probably my top recommendation would be the family suites at
Art of Animation. Each suite has a master bedroom, a kitchenette, a fold-down queen bed and a fold-out sofa. Best of all, there are two full bathrooms. The suites, the pools and the grounds are themed around the films
The Lion King,
Cars and
Finding Nemo. The resort is centrally located to all four theme parks, and the new
Skyliner transportation system connects it with Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The
All-Star Music Resort has similar family suites.
The
Cabins at Fort Wilderness also would be a good choice. Each free-standing cabin has a grill and outdoor deck and sits in a lush, woodsy setting. There's a full kitchen here, but only one bathroom. Fort Wilderness is quiet and peaceful. However, the seclusion makes transportation to the theme parks a bit more cumbersome.
The family suites at Art of Animation and All-Star Music and the Cabins are all comparably priced. If you are interested in a bit more luxury, you may want to consider a two-bedroom villa at one of the deluxe resorts such as
Old Key West,
Saratoga Springs,
Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village or
Bay Lake Tower. The size and design of the suites vary by resort as does the price.
I hope that gives you several ideas about the range of accommodations for your family's vacation, Wayne. If you would like more details about these or any other resorts, please let us know. We love sharing our experiences with you. Enjoy!
Wilma
