Hiya Cydnee,
Welcome to
planDisney! I always love seeing a fellow Texan visit us! My love language is Walt Disney World Resort vacations, so if I’m not planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth for my love, he is planning one for me.
How the transaction appears in your bank statement varies depending on your bank. For example, on my bank statement, the charges appear as “Disney Resorts.” If you still want to maintain the element of surprise, might I recommend using
Disney Gift Cards to pay for your vacation? Depending on where you purchase them, they would appear on your bank statements as purchases from the retailer you chose, and your husband would be none the wiser! I actually prefer using Disney Gift Cards because they allow me to budget better for my trips. I like to go onto the official website and write down an estimate of how much I will need for tickets, resort stays, dining, and snacks, and then I get Disney Gift Cards based on that total. If I overestimate the total, I use it for merchandise, but if I underestimate it, I just use my credit/debit card for the remaining cost.
I hope this was helpful, Cydnee! If there is anything else you need, please come back and ask. Before I let you go, one special note about Disney Gift Cards. If your purchase requires more than one Disney Gift Card, you should combine your balances into fewer Disney Gift Cards (you can have up to $1,000 per card).
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
