Hey there, hi there Robert!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World. Of course, I say that about every month of the year, but because kids are back in school, crowds are a bit lower. Even though the weather is still summer-like, fall fun kicks into gear throughout the parks. Plus, it's also time for the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
Although it's possible that the park reservation system may change by the time you visit, there has been no official mention of that change. I recommend looking at the
availability for the dates you want to visit. You'll notice three colors: green means ALL parks are available, yellow means SOME parks are available, and gray means NO parks are available. If you see yellow, simply click on a specific date to see which parks are still open. Right now, everything is available for September.
September is traditionally a slower month, but I still recommend
making reservations as soon as you purchase your tickets. You can always cancel and switch your reservations as your vacation gets closer as long as parks haven't been completely booked. If you purchase the
Park Hopper Option for your tickets, you'll only need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. At 2:00 PM, or whenever park hopping starts, you can head to a different park with no reservations. If, for some reason a park has reached capacity, you'll receive a notification on your
My Disney Experience app.
Hope this helps. Happy planning!
