We are going to Disney World and I have some questions How can I verify that I reservations? Is it possible to print out the tickets and reservations to have hard copy? Should everyone in my party have a My Disney Experience and is there a tutorial?

Hey Howdy Hey Karen and welcome to planDisney!

I can totally relate to your concerns, as someone that really likes to have paper copies of all my important documents, the recent changes in electronic copies have always made me a little uneasy even when planning our trips to Walt Disney World Resort. As My Disney Experience has rolled out many years ago, it has gone through some extensive changes to make touring the parks even better. The technology of MagicBands and now with Disney MagicMobile Service has advanced this as well making touring the parks so easy and carefree, that after most of your planning prior to your trip has happened, most of the time you just need to show up!

I would say the best thing you can do to address your concerns is to download the My Disney Experience app on your smart device that you will be taking into the parks with you. There are many tutorials online and on YouTube you can check out to get familiar with it as well. Disney Parks has a channel that can help you out with general information, specifics for navigating the parks and how to mobile order. There is so much more that you can do right from the app that I would make sure to spend some time getting to know it before your trip.

One huge benefit that you have with regards to reservations and tickets, is that they will all be linked to your My Disney Experience account and should be able to see everything from the app. Once logged onto your My Disney Experience app, tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right to see the "Tickets and Passes" section. If you tap on that option, you will be able to see all the tickets you have and who they are assigned to in your party, so no need to print them off! From that same menu after tapping the three horizontal lines, if you tap on "Future Plans", you will see everything from your hotel reservation and dining reservation as well as the option to change them or check-in when the time is right as well.

As someone that used to print off all the copies of reservations numbers and have them readily available, I have since let a lot of that go with my trips to Walt Disney World because of how accurate and reliable this app was. Of course, I do always save my emails with these confirmations to a specific vacation folder in my email mailbox just in case, but I honestly cannot tell you the last time I needed to use them when in the parks. The other thing to give you some peace of mind is that you do not have to be an expert by any means. There are so many friendly Cast Members at all the resorts that can help you navigate your way through the app and in the parks, you can stop by any Guest Relations station, keep an eye out for any Guest Experience Cast Members at designated stands or just any Cast Member to ask about any specific issues you have or need in the parks.

Good luck with your continued planning and we cannot wait for you to Be Our Guest in the Vacation Kingdom of the World! If you have any further questions let us know, we love talking about all things Disney!

    Happy planning,
