Hi Megan!
Welcome to planDisney.
Thank you for sending us this question as since Disney's Magical Express (the airport shuttle) was discontinued, guests visiting Walt Disney World have been finding alternative transport to/from the airport. I have chosen to use Mears Connect as a replacement bus service, and have been happy with the service. Please visit their website for details on pricing, and how to book. This is probably the most affordable transport from both terminals at Orlando International Airport to all the Disney Resort hotels, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They also offer an Express Service (which is direct to your hotel but may be shared with other guests). If you don't want to book in advance, walk-ons are also welcome. Currently, these buses are located at the same place as we used to board Disney's Magical Express - full details are provided when you make your booking.
If you make a reservation for this Mears Connect service you will be sent an email/text notification 23 hours in advance of your reservation - keep this boarding pass safe - you will need to show it when you arrive for your ride. I thoroughly recommend Mears Connect and will often book them whenever I don't rent a car at the airport. They are comfortable, clean, and efficient.
For a more speedy transfer to your Disney Resort hotel, you might prefer to opt for a Lyft rideshare. I have used Lyft myself while travelling around Walt Disney World, both alone and with friends, and enjoyed the efficient service. On my most recent visit in November I decided to try using Lyft rideshare from the airport as my flight had a late arrival time (and it was already a 9-hour flight from the UK). I downloaded the Lyft app which shows you a selection of available cars (with prices and varying pickup times). You make payment on the app before your ride, so it's really straightforward. You will be advised of the exact pickup location and time, and I was surprised how easy it was. I will use them again, for sure.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can
send me a direct question if you wish. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World! Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news about events that may be happening during your stay.
