I have a Disney world platinum pass how much is it to upgrade for Disneyland California?

    Hi Debbie!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you so much for bringing your Disney Parks Annual Pass question to us hEAR!

This is a great question, and I'm actually a bit jealous that you'll be jetting off to Mickey's Original House and his second home in the same yEAR! The Disney Premier Passport is the ultimate DisNerd goal.  It allows park-hopping admission to six theme parks and two water parks every single day of the year without blockout dates. Premier guests also receive included parking, PhotoPass photo downloads, and MaxPass digital attraction reservations at Disneyland Resort. And don't forget about the discounts and included perks! 20% on merchandise, 15-20% on dining, discounts on spa services, tours, even special event tickets! Do you by any chance need a personal tour guide, bag holder or parade seat saver?

The current price of buying a brand-new Premier Passport is $2,199, but do note that prices are subject to change at any time and without warning. Guests already holding a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass or Disneyland Resort Annual Passport are eligible to upgrade their current contracted passes to this bi-coastal beauty, but the price to do so is going to be whatever the difference is between what you paid for your current pass and the price of the Premier now. That sounds a bit confusing, but do remember that the price of passes on both coasts just increased a few weeks ago, so the listed price of the Platinum Pass now might not be what you paid when you first bought it. Other points to note: either purchasing the Premier Passport outright or upgrading to this highest level can only be done in-person at any Walt Disney World Resort Guest Relations location, or at the Disneyland Resort theme park ticket booths. When upgrading, you'll be paying the difference amount in one payment due in full at the time of the upgrade. And lastly, upgrading won't extend the amount of time left on your current contract by 12 months nor will it reset your calendar to start your year over. Rather, upgrading truly will only add value to the days remaining on your current Platinum pass, so it's best to make this decision around the time your original pass is set to expire or a few weeks after you just renewed.

Oh I do hope that you get to upgrade and enjoy everything that Disneyland Resort has to offer. My favorite game is to play "spot the differences" between similar East Coast vs West Coast attractions. Definitely check out our Disneyland Resort tips in our Moms Panel Video Library.
