Hi Stephanie! Welcome back to planDisney.
Like you, I have had to reschedule plans for Walt Disney World Resort vacations more than once over the past year, and I know just how
not magical it is. I’m sorry to hear you won’t be able to visit this fall, but it sounds like you’ve got an excellent excuse for postponing. Congratulations on the new arrival who is soon going to be part of your world!
I have good news! Walt Disney World theme park tickets are non-refundable, but
you should be able to apply the value of a wholly unused theme park ticket to a future visit. I would recommend
calling the Existing Tickets help line at (407) 939-1289 to verify with a Cast Member; some types of tickets work differently, and I want to ensure you get the most accurate information. Once you verify that your tickets can be applied toward a future visit, put them in a safe place until you’re ready to start planning.
Stephanie, I’m not sure if you’re planning a visit later in 2021 or further into the future, but it’s a good idea to check the
Walt Disney World Resort Know Before You Go information once you have a sense of your vacation dates. At this time,
Disney Park Pass reservations are required, along with tickets, to enter a theme park, and you’ll want to ensure you make those reservations as far in advance as possible to ensure the park you want to visit isn’t full. We don’t know how long the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort will take, or if or when the Disney Park Pass system will phase out, so keep an eye on the website and the
Disney Parks Blog to stay on top of any updates.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney again! When you’re ready for your Disney vacation, we’ll be here and ready to help as you plan and dream.
Wishing you a great big beautiful tomorrow,
Robyn
