Hi Chelsea,
We are delighted to see you stopping by planDisney!
You will be happy to know that the Walt Disney World® Resort is open on these holidays and, if you plan to visit, I strongly suggest that you book your vacation package now or get those theme park tickets! My family loves to spend the
Holidays at Walt Disney World® Resort. We have been to Magic Kingdom on Christmas day and while it is wonderful, we always make a plan to leave the park right after lunch. The crowds on Christmas day can get packed.
We just plan accordingly. We check the
park hours and then get to the parks as early as possible. Since we typically stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, we take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. And, if we are staying at a Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort Hotel, or other select hotel, we also look forward to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. These early morning hours and extended evening hours are simply wonderful!
As you continue to plan, consider how you will celebrate if there is a holiday that you celebrate during this time of year. I adore meandering around World Showcase seeing the traditions and history honored in each area. I also highly recommend that you make a few
dining reservations, especially given the dates you plan to visit. So, take a look at the dining options and then decide where you will make reservations.
Chelsea, I am sprinkling quite a bit of pixie dust on your trip hoping that you are able to navigate during the busy times of year you plan to visit. Remember that you can also spend some quality time at the resort hotel. I actually love taking a break when other folks are just arriving to the park. Of course, my final tip is to always check the weather forecast prior to your visit. Severe weather conditions are rare but could impact park hours and/or attraction availability.
Magic and memories,
Donyell
