Hiya Robert!
It’s always wonderful to see you here at planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question.
I am elated to hEAR you’ll be coming to
The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the yEAR! Nothing beats spending the
holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort; from festive Castle Projections at Magic Kingdom Park to experience the
Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, you’re in for the sweetest treat. Speaking of sweet treats, I do hope you try the
Holiday Cookie Stroll at my favorite Park, EPCOT!
Robert, at this time the FastPass+ service is temporarily unavailable until further notice. As you know, Walt Disney World Resort is currently welcoming back Guests during the
phased reopening, and although experiences have been modified, I have truly appreciated how much effort has gone into the careful consideration of Guest and Cast Member safety during this time. The parks are running at a limited capacity and Disney is continuing to use the
Disney Park Pass reservation system to manage attendance across all four theme parks. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to make your Disney Park Pass reservations, as they are required to enter the theme parks.
I visited the Theme Parks recently myself, so let's discuss what it was like without the FastPass+ option. I know the wait times can be daunting, but they are an estimate, so I wouldn’t let them deter you from getting in line for the attraction of your choice; sometimes the lines move a lot quicker than anticipated so do keep that in mind. The best advice I can give you is to tackle the most popular rides first thing in the morning. Get to the Parks as early as you can and if
Avatar Flight of Passage is your favorite ride, get to Disney's Animal Kingdom Park before opening so you can get in line as soon as they allow Guests through the gates. You can get a lot done as others are still preparing to arrive!
Another piece of advice I can give you is to know the needs of your party. If you are going with small Mouseketeers, the
Rider Switch Service is still being offered currently. If there’s a Guest with special needs in your party, the
Disability Access Service is a wonderful service to look into.
And of course, in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I hope you stop to take in a few moments of the magic.
Have the most enchanting vacation, Robert!
Aena
