Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christie!
I am so glad you are considering a visit to the
Disneyland Resort! While there are some similarities with the Walt Disney World Resort, the Disneyland Resort is really unique and has a lot of history and classic Disney charm. Most likely, your tickets from 2002 would not be valid at the Disneyland Resort. They might have expired and usually tickets between the two resorts are not transferable.
However, the Disneyland Resort has made it super easy to buy tickets! You can purchase tickets
online, over the phone ([714] 781-4565), on the
Disneyland app, or in person right outside the parks. If you purchase online, you can either have the tickets mailed to you, or you can select the eTicket option. You will receive an eTicket voucher by email within 24 hours of purchase. You then bring that voucher, either electronically on your mobile device or printed out, directly to the gates at either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. The voucher will then be exchanged for a standard paper ticket that you will use for the duration of your trip. Finally, when you are considering ticket options, I highly recommend purchasing the Park Hopper option. The parks at the Disneyland Resort are mere footsteps from each other, so hopping back and forth is incredibly easy.
I hope you'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort soon! Have a magical day!
