For Disney world Orlando annual pass, the first day is counted as the first day I enter the park, or the day I purchase the ticket?

    Hey there, Yuncheng!

A warm welcome to planDisney. As a Walt Disney World Resort annual passholder and Florida Resident myself, I am thrilled to answer your great question today!

Yuncheng, when purchasing a new Walt Disney World Resort annual pass, your annual pass “anniversary date” begins the day you enter a Walt Disney World Resort theme park for the first time with your new annual pass. Your expiration date is calculated from this first annual pass visit, not from your annual pass purchase date.

When you first purchase your annual pass and link it to your account, you will see an expiration date that reflects a date 1 year from your purchase date. This is because you have 1 year to “exchange” this annual pass exchange certificate for your annual pass. However, this date will update and reflect your new expiration date once you enter a Walt Disney World Resort theme park.

I hope this helps, Yuncheng. Please visit planDisney again if you have any additional questions. We are always hEAR to help you!
