Does Disney World offer the same sales each year? I'm trying to budget for a trip in Feb of 2014 and there is a great Spring sale going on right now that is much cheaper than the current website prices. What should I do? I have no idea how much to save!

    Hello Theresa!

With my husband and I having five children we know a thing or two about searching for discounts on our vacations to Walt Disney World.  Disney typically has discounts for just about anytime of the year excluding the busier times such as Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter.  Although some of the discounts are similar from year to year, they are not always the exact same promotion.  A great resource that I use to see what discounts Disney has historically released over the past few years is  They have a chart that features discounts from years past with what type of discount, eligible dates, and other criteria for using the discounts. Some other good resources to see what discounts have become available to the public is to check Disney's special offers page and
If you are planning on booking a package for February 2014, you will have to wait until Disney releases the package prices which typically occurs in the summer for the following year.  If you are going to book a room only reservation and buy your tickets separately, you can book this up to 499 days in advance. Typically when I am planning a vacation and discounts are not available at the time of booking, I will go ahead and reserve my room or package. If at anytime after booking my package a discount becomes available, I will call and have the offer applied to my vacation.
In the past when I have done this, the price difference will be deducted from my balance or I have the option of using the amount as a room credit during my stay.  Please note that if you make any changes that result in a lower price 45 days or less before your trip, you will be charged a $50 fee.  I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any more questions!

    Happy Planning!
