Does Disney world still offer free admission on your birthday?

    Hi Ashley,

There's no better place than Walt Disney World to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement or other special moment.

In 2009, during the "What Will You Celebrate" promotion, Disney rewarded guests with a one-day free admission on their birthday. The special offer only lasted through December 31, 2009, but it was wildly popular. We get lots of questions like yours about whether it is still in effect.

If you plan a birthday visit, make sure you stop by Guest Relations for a complimentary Happy Birthday button. (You also can get buttons for anniversaries, your first visit and other milestones). When you wear the button, you get a ton of birthday greetings and, occasionally, a cast member will offer some extra magic for you.

We've celebrated birthdays and anniversaries at Walt Disney World many times. Some ideas to add extra pixie dust:We've done the big celebrations (a fireworks-view dinner at California Grill) and the small (snacking our way around the World Showcase at Epcot). No matter how we celebrate, it's extra special at Walt Disney World.

Thanks for your question, Ashley. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as you plan how you will celebrate. Enjoy!
