Hello I am going to Disney World in November and I wanted to take advantage of the free water park option on the first day of my stay. Will any of them be open at that time? I feel like from what I’ve seen they close in September

Hello there, Deanna! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending us your question. I love that you’re already thinking about how to take advantage of the complimentary water park admission that comes with your vacation. It’s such a refreshing way to kick off a magical trip!

When it comes to the water parks, the great news is that one of the two will always be open during your visit. The only tricky part is that Disney alternates their seasonal refurbishments between Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach, which means that one will temporarily close while the other remains open. At this time, Disney hasn’t announced which of the two water parks will be welcoming Guests during November. Since both water parks are scheduled to stay open through September 7, the announcement of which one will continue operating afterward should be coming soon.

I know it can feel a little uncertain to plan without that detail, but rest assured, Disney always ensures that there is at least one water park available at any given time. Both are fantastic options, each with its own theming and unique attractions, so no matter which one is open during your trip, you’ll be able to enjoy an incredible day of splashing, sliding, and relaxing.

My best advice is to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as your travel dates get closer. That’s where the official announcements will be posted once the refurbishment schedule is finalized. I don’t think it will take much longer for Disney to let us know which park will remain open into the fall, so you’ll have plenty of time to plan ahead for your November trip.

Deanna, I hope this brings you some peace of mind as you get ready for your magical vacation. You’ll definitely be able to enjoy one of the water parks during your stay. It’s just a matter of which one, and that answer should be arriving very soon! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We're always available and more than happy to help here at planDisney! Have a magical day!

    Warm hugs,
