We are going to Disney World in Nov 2011 and would like to go to Typhoon Lagoon. Is the weather usually warm enough at that time? Also, we are going with 3 kids, ages 11, 3, and 1yr. Is there things that the younger two can do there?

    Hi Jill,

I have been to WDW in November in past years when it has been really lovely and warm (definitely Water Park weather) and then there was this past November where it was freezing cold and the Water Park was actually closed for almost a full 2 weeks because the temperature did not reach their minimum requirement of 70 degrees to open.  You should also know that in November there will only be one Water Park open as WDW tends to close one of them (alternating) every winter so they can do the renovations/refurbishments that are needed.  This past November, it was Blizzard Beach which was open and Typhoon Lagoon which was closed (just so you don't have your heart set on one Water Park only to be disappointed when you arrive if it is closed).

Regardless of whether you are going to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, each one will have a very cool area for little ones to have lot's of fun.  In Typhoon Lagoon, this area is called Ketchakiddee Creek and features 10 different activity areas with fun water features and kid-sized slides, this is a perfect place to play for little ones who are less than 48 inches tall.  In Blizzard Beach, this area is called Tike's Peak and offers tots less than 48 inches tall their own watery play area with a fanciful snow-castle fountain, pop-up water jets and kid-sized slides.  Have fun and I hope the weather cooperates with you in November 2011.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
