Hi, we're going to Disney World and we are not staying at the resort. I was wondering how long does it take to get to the gate of the parks from the parking lot? Also wondering how the parking lot system actually works? Thanks :)

    Hi Gabriela!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

For Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom park, you will park in the parking lot and a trolley bus will stop nearby to take you to the entrance if it is too far to walk.

Parking at the Magic Kingdom differs from the other Walt Disney World theme parks - you will park your car, and then take the ferry boat across Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom park entrance, or you can take the monorail around to the park entrance.

For both water parks - Disney's Blizzard Beach, and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, the parking lots are much smaller so you will simply walk to the entrance - taking a few minutes, depending on where you have parked.

Parking for the four theme parks is currently around $14 per day, but this fee is good for the whole day, and if you drive to another theme park just show your parking ticket and you will not have to pay again, the same day.

The time taken to reach the entrance to the theme parks depends on many factors - time of day, how far away from entrance you have parked, whether you have just missed a trolley bus and have to wait for the next one - however, it is not usually a very lengthy process.
