We're going to disney world next year & have the Disney Plus Dining Plan. Can we share meals at full service restaurants? Can some people use their dining plan entitlements & other people pay cash? Can we pick which meals to pay cash for?

    Hi Rhonda,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’ve dined with people who had purchased a Disney Dining Plan before when I had not and it was no problem! When it came time to ask the server for our bill, we just asked them to split it up between the members of our party who wanted to pay for their meals with cash or a credit card, and the other members who wanted to redeem their table service entitlements for their meal.

The only exception is that, if two people want to share a meal, they can’t use only one Disney Dining Plan table service entitlement between them to “pay’ for their meal. They’ll either both need to redeem a table service entitlement, or they’ll need to pay “out of pocket” for that meal.

If you want to split meals with a member of your party, I would recommend paying for that meal “out of pocket” and then using any extra entitlements that you may have to splurge on a Signature Dining experience or a Dinner Show. Finally, you don’t need to choose how you’ll pay for your meal in advance. You can decide when it comes time to get your bill.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
