I am going to Disney World next week, and I hear that there are dress themes! I have an 11 year old daughter and a 4 year old one as well. When my eldest daughter was 5, the theme was Pirates & Princesses. I would like to know what the theme is. Thank

    Hi, Mishal!

    Not to worry!

When younger Guests tour Walt Disney World, many of them dress up in their favorite princess attire, no matter what the year. What you may notice, however, is that certain princess themes are more popular in one year than another due to the timeliness of her most recent movie. For that reason, many girls are opting for Princess Merida right now, as this Brave princess was just recently added to the Royal Court of Disney Princesses.

That Disney Parks Blog post includes a photo of all 11 of the official Disney Princesses at Magic Kingdom Park, and will serve as a good guide of who you'll expect to see as you tour WDW. Rapunzel, from Disney's Tangled, and Tiana, from Disney's The Princess and the Frog, are the two most recent additions to the royal court as well.

You will also see Guests in pirate gear, though, Mishal, as The Pirates League has opened in Magic Kingdom and can transform Guests as young as 3 into pirates or mermaids. Don't be surprised to turn around to see a little Captain Jack Sparrow or Pirate Empress as you tour Magic Kingdom, too!

Bottom line? Let your little princesses choose their absolute favorites and dress accordingly. You'll scoop up lots of fantastic photos of your girls in their glory, and they'll have a magical time as well.

Send more questions as you think of them, Mishal; we love to help!
