We are going to disney world next week for the first time ever and I need to know how long we should spend at typhoon lagoon.

    Hi Sonya,

My family loves the water parks and allot at least one day each trip for a visit to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon.  I'm so glad you are planning a trip!  The wave pool and snorkeling at Shark Reef top our "must do" list at the park.  I would plan on spending at least half a day at Typhoon Lagoon, and strongly recommend starting your day there early.  The water parks are very popular, especially during the summer.  I would suggest getting to the park as close as possible to rope drop (a few minutes early is actually an even better idea) to ensure that you are able to secure a nice, shady spot to call "home base" for the day.  Florida tends to get passing afternoon storms during the summer months, so by starting early, you have a better chance of getting some prime "water park action" before any passing storms hit.

    Have a wonderful time!
