Hi. We will be in Disney World for New Year's Eve. Are there any special events/fireworks going on in specific parks? Any suggestions for which park is best to go to? Thanks!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca. I'm so glad you've stopped by with your question about New Year's Eve Celebrations at the Walt Disney World Resort.

While there isn't any official announcement yet regarding New Year's celebration, in the past, there were special fireworks and nighttime festivities to ring in the New Year at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. If you have younger children, Magic Kingdom would be the ideal place to celebrate the New Year's. Head to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios if you have older children or teenagers.

We celebrated New Year's 2016 in Epcot and had a wonderful time. In the late afternoon, there are booths set up for Guests to pick up complimentary party hats and noise makers. Over in the World Showcase, each country held its own countdown based on the midnight hour of its home. For example, we were eating dinner around 7pm in Tangierine Cafe in Morocco Pavilion, and the Cast Members there were dancing and counting down to their home country's New Year! It was so fun and festive.

I recommend checking back closer to the holidays on the Walt Disney World Resort website or the Disney Parks Blog to find more information about New Year's Eve Celebrations. If you have other questions planning your magical vacation, please visit us on the Panel again, Rebecca.

    See you real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
