We will be in Disney World in mid January. Our group includes a 2 year old. Please suggest activities to do with a toddler since Fantasy Land is closed.

    Hi Gary!

Only a small portion of Fantasyland is closed, though I understand your concern!  With a small child, it would have been nice if all of Fantasyland and the new Fantasyland Expansion was open!  However, you should know that you can experience the majority of the attractions and shows at Walt Disney World with your 2 year old.  I know that may sound strange if your only experience is with regional amusement parks, but it is true.  Most of the attractions at Walt Disney World were designed with the whole family in mind.

When my children were 2 years old, they both loved the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, though my youngest son also was fascinated with the Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion in Epcot and could easily spend an entire afternoon there.  That said, I do think there favorite "attraction" at Walt Disney World was the pool back at the resort!  A particularly nice pool for children of all ages is at the Beach Club Resort; they have a sand bottom pool with a sand island in the middle for young children to enjoy.  My children loved making sand castles there and loved the fact that there were no waves, unlike at the beach.

I hope this helps in your planning.  Write back with more questions!
