Hi! We are going to Disney World in May with our (will be) 2 1/2 year old and 5 month old. What are the best rides that we will be able to go on as a family. Are babies allowed on the slower rides?

    Hello there Kelly!

Thanks for bringing your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The Walt Disney World Resort is my most favorite place to visit with my Mouseketeers! My daughter’s first visit was when she was just 4 months old. Now she’s 2-years old and anytime she hEARS a Disney song, she screams with excitement “Go Disney mom!”. I know it’s not a complete sentence but this statement is great and fills my heart every time!

Since you are traveling with Mouseketeers be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located in all 4 theme parks. Baby Care Centers provide a place to feed, change, and nurse little ones. Not to mention, they also have an on-site shop where you can purchase any baby essentials you may have forgotten. I just love the Baby Care Centers!

When it comes to exploring the parks, there is plenty to do with preschool kids and little ones. You will be happy to hEAR that there are many attractions you can enjoy as a family that do not have a height requirement. My daughter was asleep on most attractions but she did enjoy the twinkle and glow of Peter Pan’s Flight.

Don’t forget to take your little ones to meet their favorite pals. There are many different Character Experiences offered throughout the parks, your Mouseketeers will be sure to spot a familiar friend! My favorite keepsake from our family trips are the photos. Watching my kids grow up next to their favorite Characters is pure Magic. Seeing my daughter kiss Mickey Mouse’s nose during her first visit and then watching her waddle to hug him on her next, is something I will never forget.

    Have a Magical Time!

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
