We are going to Disney World in May and I am trying to make all our dining reservations. If we have dining reservations at Hollywood & Vine @ 9:15 and the park opens at 9, will we be allowed early entry to the park or will we have to fight with the c

    Hi Lacey!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

Technically, if you were at the front of the queue at Disney's Hollywood Studios when the park opens at 9.00 a.m. you would arrive at Hollywood & Vine in time for your 9.15 a.m. reservation.

However, I would arrive at the park 30 minutes before opening time.  Once you have passed through the security checkpoint (bag check), you will see one of the turnstiles in front of you will have a sign indicating that is the entrance for character dining early entry.  The Cast Member there will have a list of all the dining reservations for that morning.  Be sure to have your confirmation number with you.  Then you will be allowed into the park in good time for your dining reservation.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, and If the park is opening early at 8.00 a.m. for Extra Magic Hours, you should be able to arrive early and enter the park without having to check-in at the special turnstile entrance for early dining. You can check the calendar for Disney's Hollywood Studios to see if Extra Magic Hours are in operation on the day of your dining reservation.  Be sure to change the month to "May" in the top-right-hand corner of the calendar.

    Have a magical vacation!
