I am going to Disney World in May. I am looking for ideas on where to have quick service meals that are not filled with pizza, burgers, and chicken fingers.

    Hi, Amy!

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at some of the amazing Quick Service options that you will find in Walt Disney World.  Let's jump right into some of my favorites:

    *Magic Kingdom
-Cosmic Rays: ribs or rotisserie chicken served with green beans and mashed potatoes
-Gaston's Tavern:  hummus and chips (great snack!)
-Pinocchio Village Haus: Caesar salad with chicken
-Columbia Harbor House:  clam chowder, lobster roll sandwich

    *Animal Kingdom
-Harambe Market: gyro flatbreads, grilled chicken skewers
-FlameTree BBQ:  ribs with baked beans

    *Hollywood Studios:
-ABC Commissary:  tossed to order Asian salads with chicken or salmon, chicken club sandwiches

    *Epcot -
    -Mexico:  tacos, empanadas con queso
    -France:  lobster bisque, quiche

And this list is just the beginning! For snacks, you will find many kiosk locations selling fresh fruit, or my kids love the pickles - I know it sounds weird but it is a great treat! Take some time to look over the menus on AllEars.net.  They have a very complete list of menus by location.  I hope you find the perfect meals for your family. (But have chicken fingers at least once - they really are pretty good!)

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
