Going to Disney World in May. Initially staying in resort in Disney Springs and then moving to a Disney Resort for a few days for a treat. Our question is - can we pick-up our Magic Bands from the Disney Resort when we arrive 10 days before check-in?

    Hi Brian,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

Because MagicBands can’t be shipped internationally to Canada, I completely understand why you’d want to pick them up when you arrive in Central Florida, even if you’re not staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel right away. Unfortunately, MagicBands that gets shipped to your Disney Resort usually only get there a day or two before your check-in, so they may not be ready when you arrive.

My recommendation: check to see whether you can receive packages at your Disney Springs Area hotel. If you can, change the shipping address for your MagicBands so that they get shipped to that hotel. That way, you’ll be able to use your MagicBands right away! But, don’t forget that any entitlements or ticket options that are associated with your Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay won’t be active until you check in for that portion of your vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
