We are going to Disney world March 23 to 27 and I was wondering if any character dining is open ?

    Hi Angela,

    Welcome to planDisney!

You will be happy to know that character dining is open although in slightly different form. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed breakfast at our favorite character dining experience, Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Donald Duck strolled through the restaurant, stopping periodically to wave at Guests. They were just as artfully delightful as they have been on past visits. We also dined at Chef Mickey's and Cinderella's Royal Table. Although the princesses were not all greeting Guests at Cinderella's Royal Table, Cinderella did come out to say a few words while we dined!

At the time of your visit, you could also dine at Hollywood & Vine or Garden Grill Restaurant. Even though my girls no longer watch Disney Junior shows, they still love breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, especially since we are typically trying to allow for time to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. And for us, at Garden Grill, watching Living with the Land while dining is amazing and Chip 'n' Dale are super cute.

While there are restaurants that have re-opened with character dining, there may not be availability at the time of your visit. If you do not yet have advanced dining reservations, I suggest you try to make reservations immediately. They book quickly and, given the time of your visit, I am worried about availability. If there is no availability, keep checking every day and do check the day before you wish to dine if you are still looking for a reservation. Cancellations do happen!
Angela, keep your eye on the dining updates since character dining experiences could change. Also, make sure that you have downloaded the My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you can use a few phenomenal planning tools - Mobile Dine Check-in, Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability, and Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. Food is one of our favorite attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort. We cannot wait to welcome you back to a world of magic!

    Magic and memories,
