With Disney World magic bands, are the lanyards and pin trading a thing of the past? (wondering if we should bring ours or let the kids know before they go - they really enjoyed trading and I don't want them to feel let down once we arrive)

    Hey, Lorrie-Ann!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Pins, pins and more pins. It seems that my boys can't get enough and they are 13 and 9. MagicBands and pins are in two entirely different categories of collectables. Both are awesome but with pins you get to trade with everyone as well as collect them at Walt Disney World Resort.

We make sure to pack our lanyards and a selection of pins we want to trade. Of course, we leave the ones we want to keep at home. We have traded with Cast Members in custodial services, front desk and concierge at our Resort hotel, attraction guides and merchandise attendants as well as other Guests. It's a low cost, super fun way to make a connection with people at Walt Disney World Resort which makes our Disney vacation even more magical.

I love MagicBands but pins are quick, cool and with endless options, you are bound to find something special! Here is a list of locations to find new pins for your collection.

So pack 'em up and make some new magic.

Disney Dad Tip: There is a new adventure called Disney PinQuest at Magic Kingdom Park. This scavenger hunt adventure awaits the pin aficionado.

Lorrie-Ann, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
