We are going to Disney World with lots of family. We are purchasing the dining plan and I have a feeling we will be taking a couple of cousins with us to dinner every once in a while. Can we purchase additional kids meals at the restaurant?

    Hi Deborah,

Big family gatherings are a great way to share the memories of this magical place with those you love. I've been on several trips to Walt Disney World with extended family and had a blast watching my parents become kids again and seeing my kids enjoy the magic with their grandparents!

Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to purchase additional meals when you dine. Your server will most likely ask if you are using the Disney Dining Plan before he/she takes your order, so just be sure to tell him/her which people have the dining plan and which kids you will be paying for out of pocket. When your bill comes at the end of the night, you will see the dining credits used and the new credit balance as well as a total due for those meals that weren't covered on the dining plan. Your server might also treat it as two separate transactions, but it can easily be done. Please be aware that an 18% gratuity will automatically be added to parties of 6 or more.

    Bon Appétit,
